This is a real goose egg, ready to decorate as a hanging ornament. We cut two sides off the blown goose egg and attached a finding to the pointy end (gold-colored metal cap to thread a hanger). These ornaments have to ship separately from other eggs due to double boxing and extra packing.
The hole is in the bottom of the egg.
Goose egg ornament measures @ 3 inches tall, finding projects 1/4 inch farther. Cut opening is just under 2 inches wide and 2.5 inches tall, and varies slightly from egg to egg. Finding is @ 1/2 inch in diameter. A string wrapped from top of egg, around the egg, back to top of egg then stretched out on a ruler measures 9 inches.
These real eggs are perfectly natural, but not naturally perfect. The cut varies with the shape of the egg, and everything is handmade. There will be tiny uneven places along the cut, but no cracks or chips. The interior natural paper of the egg is intact, as it adds to the egg strength. This can be gently removed by peeling if desired. We guarantee our workmanship on all our products.
