Released December of 2009 - this book is the poignant and very real story of our poultry raising adventure during a five-year crucible of economic and identity crisis that took on national relevance when our contracting business collapsed under the first wave of the economic crash in 2008. This story hits home with heart-breaking reality.
While getting a couple of chickens may have been Andrew's idea, I took it over the top with thirty fluffy pheasant, five and twenty chickens, over forty Chukar, and fifteen ducklings. There were twelve smelly quail, nine girl geese, two roosters, and a partridge in a pine tree.
The book is 5.25 x 8 inchs, perfect bind color cover, B&W interior with 394 pages. Each chapter begins with my illustration of the actual birds in the story. It is laugh out loud funny, informative, captivating... and poignant. If you'd like it inscribed in a special way, I'm happy to do that, just send me an email with your preferences.
